Meet the Pupil Librarians

Hello! We have been selected by our school librarian Mrs Whettingsteel and the Year 6 team to be the Pupil Librarians. We have a sincere passion for reading and want to inspire other children to find their love of books as well. We work alongside Mrs Whettingsteel to ensure that the library is a positive reading environment in our school, and that the library and books are well looked after.

Our Role and Responsibilities

Our main role as Pupil Librarians is to help Mrs Whettingsteel ensure that the books are organised appropriately. We also play an important role with assisting with events such as book fairs and author visits.

We believe our job is to:

· Display positive attitudes towards reading

· Encourage other pupils to read and support them when making book recommendations

· Ensure that returned books are organised into the correct places

· Share our own ideas, and other pupils’ with adults

· To assist in the organising and running of additional events such book fairs and author visits
