Welcome to the Year 5 Transition page.

All of the Year 5 team are really excited and looking forward to welcoming your child into Year 5 in September. We have a super year planned with lots of fun and engaging topics and opportunities, which we are confident they will enjoy!

	Hello Larch class, I’m Miss Williams and I will be teaching you until Mrs Coe returns from her maternity leave. I am really excited to be teaching you for the first part of year 5 and I am looking forward to getting to know you all during this time. We will begin our journey in September going ‘Out of this world’ for our first topic of Space! I can’t wait for us to get started, but in the meantime, I wish you all a wonderful summer holiday!
	Hello Willow Class! I’m Mr Banham and I will be your year 5 teacher when you return to school in September. Having taught in year 5 a few years ago, I know that it is an amazing year and that there will be lots of fun and exciting topics for you to learn about. I am very much looking forward to getting to know you all better and I hope that you have an amazing, restful summer break! See you in September!
	Hello Cedar class, I am Miss Newman (Mrs Durack after my wedding in August) and it was wonderful to meet you all on transition day. I am really looking forward to our year together and getting to know you all better. Year 5 is also a new year group for me so I am excited to teach all of our topics, especially our ‘Out of this World’ unit which involves a trip to the Winchester Science Centre. I hope you a fabulous summer and I can’t wait to see you in September.
